Those of you who know me, know that I am crazy about recycling. So when I found out that the City of Bloomington now accepts #6 styrofoam with the rest of their recyclables, you can imagine my excitement!
For those of you fortunate enough to live within the city limits of Blomington, with curbside recycling service, you are in luck. Place your styrofoam (cups mostly) in your bin with everything else that gets picked up bi-weekly. The city also collects ALL plastics #1-7.
The city of Bloomington is a recycling role model for all of Indiana. They actually charge $2.00 per trash bag collected and recycling is…..FREE! Now that is what I call progress! The state of Indiana, particularly Indianapolis could learn a thing or two from our neighbors to the south. Get in touch with your recycling service and find out just what they collect….who knows, you may be pleasantly suprised.
